Maha Earrings - Indus collection
During the restoration of the Mahābodhi temple in 1880-81 a ball of clay was found below the Enlightenment Throne inside the temple. It contained coins, gold, silver, precious and semiprecious stones. Maha is inspired by a piece of the necklace found during this time that had conch impressions along with floral motifs. WMEN has replicated this design into earrings and has used the seashell impression instead of conch. The design is believed to be from 200 AD.
