Sona choker - Indus Collection

The mention of pearls in the Indian continent dates back to mythological times. The earliest mentions can be found in epics like Mahabarath and in ancient religious scriptures called Rig-Veda. Sona is the modern interpretation of ancient pearls with brass nuggets hand moulded to look like a shapeless baroque pearl. These are threaded carefully on a metal string to make a comfortable choker or necklace. The beauty lies in the contrast of one single natural baroque pearl threaded along.
